Our computer totally wigged out on us. For some reason we can access any site on the internet BUT any google site including gmail and any blogspot site. So for almost 10 days I have not been able to access email or blogs. So everyone out there that has a blog. I do still Love you but I can't read your blog anymore until further notice. And email is out of the question. But I do for some strange reason have access to facebook so I am not completely shut off from my access to the outside world.
Oh and by the way we close on our house on Monday.....
Wish us luck
More details when I have more access.

Water Fun

Now that Em's kids are out of school. We are trying to do some fun things everyday while
we still live together. So Monday we pulled out the new Crocodile pool and the Slip and Slide.
They were so excited and cute about it. It made me realize I need to try to do
more things like this on a regular basis.
Sofia like the pool only if the sprinkler was not on, it spouts out of his head.

Here is Noah in action on the Slip'N'Slide

Spencer announced that he was hyper and feeling wacky. He looks so grown up lounging in the pool
Kristin was making Sofia laugh so hard with the water.

Our Independence Day Celebration
(Above my favorite pic of the day, Noah protecting Baby from going into the street)
The last 3 or so years on the 4th of July we have crashed our friends the P* family celebration.
This year we now have an official standing invitation so I feel pretty honored.
Our very dear friends Matt and Mara and their boys were in town from across the world
so we make it a point to see them. There is always tons of yummy food. Good company
fun conversation, birthday parties for and aunt and for Bam Bam who turned 5.
I took Lemon Bars which were requested. Made me feel good and important.
As anyone who know the real me knows food prepartion is not my strongest trait.
All the cousins played a game of kick ball in the cul-de-sac.
Here is Noah running to first base. He came up to me after the game and said
"Mom, this party lots and lots of fun."
He made friends and was included in it all although he was not related.
What nice kids to make sure everyone had fun.

Sofia watched from the sidelines. Playing in dirt, picking up rocks and
tried to steal the other kids toys. All in the day of an 18 month old.
Matt and Kersten now have a tradition of taking off in the the middle of the party.
I think they go hiking or driving up the canyon just to have some guy friend time.
Here is my beautiful friend Mara and I, She always uplifts and inspires.
Mara is one of those friends no matter how long it has been it is like we see each other every day.
I love your genuine spirit and her enthusiasm for life, art and culture.
She is a very talented photographer check her website here
We watched as the men set off firecrackers.
Sofia and Noah both loved it. Even the loud ones did not bother them.
We came home before the big fireworks. Doo was just to tired. Noah is still talking about the party
On Sunday night we drove 45 min south to see my cousins on the E* side
I got to see most of my cousins, 7 of the 9 is not bad.
My cousin Barb who lives in Florida was a highlight and of course
Warren, the 21 yr old traveler living in NY.
The oldest runs a couple firework stands every year to earn $ so that
his brothers and sisters that live far away can fly back at least once a year.
They all help out and the 5th of July have a huge Bonanza of fireworks.
It was super cool. Noah and I just went because Sofia was beyond.
I don't think I have ever seen so many fireworks
and all the different kinds of bottle rockets.
I loved seeing my dear cousins children,
it was a bit uncanny seeing their faces in these little people.
Overall it was a great weekend of fun and great people.

Butterfly/Fairy birthday party for Sofia and Kristin

We had a Butterfly/Fairy Party last night to celebrate
Kristin's 11th birthday and
Sofia's 18 month birthday.
Here is the beautiful birthday fairy Sofia. We bought her this outfit for her 1/2 b-day.
When we brought out the skirt to put it on. She says "ooohh, squeal" I think she like

Here is my favorite. She played in the flowers and waved her magic fairy wand
around the garden. You could tell she felt really pretty. She really is just such a girl

Noah asked if he could bring some manliness to the party. His words not mine.
So he wore his Captain Rex costume.
We told the guests that they could come dressed as fairies or butterflys
Nik and Lena came ready to play. Nik has angel wings which is ironic.
Lena had these awesome wings she borrowed from her mom.

Here are the girls. Kristin is wearing her dance costume.
We took some really cute pics of the two bday girls
They all really got into dressing up. It was sweet
Daddy pick up her cake at Costco. I had a great Idea for a butterfly cake but I ran out of time
He did a great job. I love the frog and the wand.

She got some cool fairy books, a book called Princess Baby, some butterfly wings,
a princess puzzle and some accessories for her baby.
Afterwards we had a sweet moment playing with her favorite doll, Bella
She fed it peas, gave it a bottle, changed it's stinky diaper and gave
her baby lots of loves. It was really really fun and quite tender for me
I love the she loves dolls. I was a doll girl too.
She even had to put them to bed before her
She lined them up and put a blanket over them and patted them on the belly

Here are the deocrations.
She had her 18 month appt today
weight is 24lbs 2 oz in the 52%
Height 32 1/2 inchs in the 70% she grew always been in the 50%
Head circ: 47cm in the 52%
Very very fun party..... I think all the attended had an excellent time

Sofia Party at the F* house
I have some great pics of camping that I will post later. But I wanted to post some fun pictures of Sofia's party at Kersten Parents house. It was delightful. With yummy food and good company. We had hot dogs from the grill, potato chips, watermelon and veggies. So delicious and so many of her favorite foods. She also got a bag of M&M's as you can see on her face. It was really fun. I think Sofia loved it.
Virginia made this cake for Princess Doodle pants as she calls her.
It is chocolate her favorite. I love the butterflies that is her theme this year.

The grandparents got her this sweet ride. She was so darling when they brought it out.
She walks right up and opens the door and squeals, beeps the horn and turns the key.
It was a perfect reaction.
Virginia, Josh and Noah made her some necklaces and purses.
Here she is waving bye bye to leave in the car. She is all set.
Noah had to share the car. She did not let it bother her that Noah got into her car.
She just climbed right on top of him and started playing. It cracked me up.
they were both laughing hysterically and having a great time
It was fun to celebrate this silly baby. She is so full of life. Love her

Sofia Caroline is 18 months old

Sofia is 18 months old today. We decided from her birth that we would celebrate her birthday on her half birthday since she was born so close to Christmas. So we are celebrating today with Kersten's family and with mine on tuesday. So with no further ado I will write 18 fun and silly facts about our girl.
- She LOVES to tickle herself and everyone else too. She lifts up her shirt to show off her belly and goes "ticaticatica" with her tongue sticking out a bit. She tickles her feet , my feet, her brothers belly, any belly she can get to and if she can't see it she will lift up your shirt for the most tickle ability. You can even hear her coming up behind you with her fingers wiggling and her little voice in tickling mode. She always laughs with delight when she is done tickling.
- Whenever you walk into her bedroom she will raise her finger to her lips and says "Shhhh" to be quiet. She does this also whenever she sees a baby
- "Look" is her favorite word. She points and says "look, look". She especially likes ceiling fans. This is also a request for you to tell her what something is or if something is quite pretty. All day long we hear look look look.
- She loves purses. She will sling a purse around her shoulder with her arm straight up in the air to keep the purse from falling and start walking toward the door waving bye bye.
- Sofia has a sensitive little soul. If someone she loves is sad she will pet their head or hair and say "Aye, aye" to be soft and will quietly do this until she is acknowledged.
- She now knows karate. She goes every week with her brother. And now her dad, uncle and numerous cousins are taking. It is a family event. She with do rear elbow strikes and say "kieye" over and over again. She is really proud of her new skill.
- Sharing is her favorite. But only if it is on her terms. She shares her food, drinks and binkies with anyone who will take them. She leaves sippy cups under Gearolds pillow so he can have a drink. She will always try to feed you food she already has chewed. She is so generous. No worries if she is playing with something and does not want to share we do still have the normal 18 month old fits.
- This girl loves meat. Give her chicken, fish, hamburger or beef any day over bread or fruit. She will always accept chocolate anytime.
- Her favorite toys are her Dolls. She is a really good mommy, hugging and kissing her baby, rocking her to sleep, feeding her a bottle and banging her head on the kitchen floor. She loves sticking her finger in their eyes.
- She is always thirsty. This girl is a camel. Drinking all day long
- Obsessed with faces. She loves pulling, poking, rubbing and bonking into our faces. She loves putting fingers in ears, noses, eyes and mouths. She squeals with delight each time.
- She gravitates toward girly things. She is surrounded by boy toys and seems so happy when she discovers a girl toy.
- She is a gymnast. She climbs on everything. She tries to flip down when you are holding her. She has really flexible feet and legs to.
- Kersten will start a beat for a song and Sofia will instantly start dancing. She bounces up and down, twirls around and waves her arms in the air. She dances in stores to the music, in the car all over. She loves it when we are all dancing with her.
- She is into everything. She has to discover everything right now. She is Trouble with a Capital T. I am amazed about what this girl can reach and get into.
- She does not appreciate getting messed with. She does not like getting her hair done. If I tell her she looks pretty she gives me her monkey face in displeasure. But if a male gives her a compliment that her bow is pretty. She poses and leaves it in.
- She has a staccato machine gun laugh and she uses it often. She still is methotical in studying the world but now the joy she takes from everything is infectious. She loves her daddy and points to his picture or him and says "Daddiee" over and over. She has him wrapped around her finger.
- We went swimming and they had a ton of slides at this pool. She would point to the slide and say "ide, ide" and when she went down it she said "Weee". As we were leaving she would point to it and say "Wee ide, wee ide, wee ide" trying to get away to slide some more. If we hit a bump in the car she would also say "Weeeee".
We love this girl. She sure keeps us busy.

Old and New
Old Glasses
So I got new glasses. I am super excited about them. Sofia has slowly been breaking them down. One day about two weeks ago, she tore the right side arm right off of them while I was in the shower. She knew she was in trouble. My sister Em went with me to pick some new ones out. I walked around for about a week and a half with my glasses perched on my nose. They kept giving me headaches because they were crooked. Kersten says my new glasses look fun and funky more than the ordinary blah like before and fit my personality better. I was lucky enough to also get a pair of Sunglasses that are RayBans and the frame name is Jackie O. So You can imagine what they look like. So with no further blah blah blah here is me with my new eyewear.
